Well, we're here. I'm never very excited to be in California, because it's a place that makes me profoundly uncomfortable. But we do get to eat some food here that makes us happy; visit to In-n-Out number one is now past. We'll be eating at Wahoo's for dinner, and that's really freaking exciting, because the fish taco is really freaking exciting.
The drive to the airport was awful. Our driver smoked (although not while we were in the car), and then to cover his smoking he used some awful floral air freshener to cover it up. It didn't work, and the floral odor was so heavy it made me feel pukey. Also, I totally think the guy was driving with two feet, because he was so herky-jerky it was uncomfortable. I hated every minute of it. But we did get to the airport in one piece, if a little...nauseated. And then the flight was, well, a flight. We stopped in Phoenix, but stayed on the plane, which was weird. It also felt weird to not get off the plane in Phoenix, as I've done that before.
I think I was wrong in my last post, by the way. Our last flight was to Utah, not Italy. But that was also a list-making trip, as being in formal wear always necessitates lists. Weddings, you know.
What else? I feel kind of out of it, because it feels like 7:37 pm, and it's not, is it? We're in California, so it's 5:47 and it's going to really fuck me up by about 9:00 pm this time, when all I want to do is crawl in bed. But if I crawl in bed at 9:00 pm PST, I'll have to get up at 5:00 am. And that's not okay.
Sigh.
