Bears fans, wing an extra sports prayer up to the sky this weekend, because I'm taking my cursed self back to Soldier Field this weekend for the Bears game. Remember last year, when everyone said that of course Miami would win? Of course the undefeated Bears couldn't lose to Miami? My first time in Soldier Field, and they went down hard. I'm not saying they'll lose to the Chiefs, you understand. I'm just saying, I will be in the stands.
It does mean that I won't be going to the Renegade Craft Fair this year, which is sort of sad, because I've gone the last two years, even though both years were muddy and mucky and absolutely disgusting. This year (the year I can't go), they've moved it to be a part of the street fair in Wicker Park that weekend, so it's guaranteed to be not muddy. Not to mention the fact that it's pretty much looking like no rain in the forecast for this weekend. Ah well, I don't really have the money to buy renegade crafts this year anyway. And last year, all I bought were a small stuffed donut and a small stuffed ninja, both of which sit sort of useless together on the coffee table. Although, they do have ninja arm-donut hole sex occasionally, which is stupid and juvenile, I know, but when you get really bored in front of the TV, it's something to do. It's been a while, though, because I've been sewing up a storm. In fact, I've been sewing so much that my book count for September is really, really pathetic. If I told you, I'd be embarrassed. What with the crossword puzzles and the sewing, it's like I'm never reading. And I'm so bored with all my books, can't afford new ones, and am dodging a fine at the public, that I'm just having a hell of a time. The sewing is good, anyway. If I don't sew for three hours a night, I'll never finish this puppy, and even if I do, I may not finish. I might be giving this to my grandparents as a "Happy March 28th" present. I don't want to wait until next Christmas because, and there is no way to put this tactfully, they're old.
It also doesn't help that I'm super-busy on the weekends, giving me less time to sew. Sewing all day Sunday with the games on? Not happening this week. (Not that I'm complaining!) So come November, I may have to take some vacation time just to sew, if it's close to being done. I highly, highly doubt it, though.
