Simply because it is impossible for me to not be. Free, I can no longer be put back in chains, and I can't imagine a world where women step back and become shadows again.
Dramatic, maybe. It's in my nature. But call it what you want, frame it how you want, if you take away the right to choose, we can become, at any minute, prisoners in our own bodies.
It's not for me, and it's not for my sister or my mother or my boyfriend's niece, or the multitude of women in my life. We're meant for better than second-class citizen-dom.
I love too many women to not be pro-choice.
