I've added a new thing to my sidebar--the Library Thing Random Books widget. It's not quite right (there's that little bit of "> going on), and I've fooled around with it, but I still can't make it look okay. I'll possibly muck around with it some more, but I can't figure out where the issue is, and I'm just not good enough with this stuff to fix it.
But anyway, now you can poke around my library (still not complete; two and half bookcases left) and see what I'm reading. Everything is tagged, but the tagging happens haphazardly and inconsistently. The only tag that I'm almost 100% sure is consistent is the "unread" tag. And I keep things pretty updated with that, so you if you were really on the ball, you could tell what I'm reading by what unread tags disappear.
The only other thing about that collection that is instructive is that it doesn't much contain romance novels. Generally, those don't stay in my possession, so I felt like they weren't really a part of my library. Hence, I'm not entering them. Unless they end up back on my shelves at home, in which case they're listed. Confused? Basically, any romance novel that my sister reads and my grandma doesn't want to read ends up back on my shelves. But they end up on my shelves at my mom's house, so I don't always know they're there. Anyway.
One last thing. I didn't rate any of the books in my library, though I'd be happy to recommend something if you're looking for something. I can practice my reader's advisor skills on you!
