I found this meme over at Rox Populi. I went to Music Outfitters, entered the year of my high school graduation in the search box, and came up with this list of the top 100 songs of 1997. I crossed out anything that I didn't like/don't like and bolded anything that I actually like. There's not much. And unlike Rox Populi, I didn't underline anything, because none of these songs are my favorite by that artist. I think we can glean two things from this list: popular music in 1997 was remarkably bad, and I clearly wasn't listening to what was popular. I listened to classic rock, Dave Matthews, REM and the Indigo Girls, along with a smattering of alternative, none of which really appears on this list.
