Well, I've met my four books on the week goal. You may remember that for new year, I made a 25 in 2005 list. One of my goals was to read four books a week. This week, I've met that goal, and I'm surprised, because only one was frivolous crap. And I even did reading for school that was not included in the tally.
Right now, I'm going through one of my periods where I feel like books nourish me. The thought just occurred to me that maybe how much I read is in direct proportion to how much I'm eating. If food consumption goes down, reading goes up. Though some of the things that spur my reading mania have nothing to do with food. For instance, my desire to work out more, which leads to more time as a "captive audience" for books. Also, my fear of starting my next cross-stitch project, which is so gorgeous and the material is so sumptious, that I'm afraid of getting it dirty. Or ruining it. I suppose I'll just have to jump in at some point.
I promise I won't blog my reading tally every week--only when I feel super-proud of myself. Two non-fiction books in one week merits some happiness.
